A woman suffered a whiplash after a driver slammed into her vehicle, while she was driving along the Castries Highway on Tuesday around 1:20 p.m.
Tracey Farrin told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that a silver Tida car struck her car twice and drove off, leaving her injured and with a badly damaged car.
The woman said she did not manage to get the vehicle’s number plate, because she was in shock and it didn’t take long before the driver sped away, leaving her behind.
“I was just so shocked that they kept driving, not even knowing if I had spun off the road or not,” she told SNO.
Farrin said she is upset because her new car, a Kia Soul, was only bought less than a year ago. She was previously using a car she had for the last 10 years.
“The cost to repair it is about EC$1,200, so it’s not too bad, but its all down to me as excess is $2,000,” she explained.
The woman said the matter was reported to the police and she is would be grateful if anyone knows who the driver might be, to contact the nearest police station.
