A man is seriously injured following a freak accident on Jeremie Street, near the Castries market, just before 8 a.m. this morning, Nov. 30.
An eyewitness told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that a car (registration number PC2681) ran off the road and hit a male pedestrian on the sidewalk, after the driver got sick suddenly.
The eyewitness said it appeared as if the driver suffered a seizure, which caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
Persons at the scene complained that the driver was in the car for about 45 minutes before the ambulance picked him up.
Unconfirmed reports are that a female was also hit by the car.
The condition of the injured pedestrian/s and the driver of the car is unknown at this time.
