ANTIGUA OBSERVER – The airline which crash landed in Barbuda in August and again in St. Lucia earlier this month says it is resuming flight next month.

Hummingbird Air which is based in Dominica, will resume operations in late December according to its Owner Sam Raphael.

The airline suspended all flights after its landing gear failed on landing at the George Charles Airport on November 9.

Raphael told Dominica News Online, that the decision to stop flying was in an effort to restructure its operating procedures and make management changes.

The businessman said the company is taking time out to retrain captains and other changes to better serve the traveling public.

Flights won’t resume in time for the busy Christmas season according to the owner.

Following the latest incident in St. Lucia the company said it would conduct internal investigations.

But neither Hummingbird nor the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority have reported on their findings.
