Four persons are now homeless following a fire at Piat, Grande Riviere, Gros Islet this afternoon.
Reports are that an explosion occurred in the house, which caused the fire to spread quickly.
Fire officials responded to the call at about 3:45 p.m. but by the time they arrived on the scene, the house completely destroyed.
The wooden house was occupied by two adults and two children.
Investigations are ongoing.
