A late Thursday evening fire has left three families of Ravine Chabot, Castries homeless.
More than nine people, including six children have been rendered homeless.
The owner of the house, Vanessa Smith, and her three children occupied the top flat of the two-story wooden house, along with her sister and her family. The bottom flat was occupied by a man and his family.
The next building which was also destroyed, was occupied by another male and two other persons.
While Smith managed to save a few items, most of her valuables were destroyed in the inferno.
The fire started at 10:15 p.m.
Fire officials responded with two units but reportedly had some difficulties with the live electrical wires.
No one was hurt during the fire.
