A Good Samaritan rescued three people from a burning home in La Clery on Thursday morning.
Ricky Raynold was taking a break from painting when he noticed smoke coming from his neighbour’s house and decided to check on it.
He encountered an adult female and two children at a window, who were trying to escape the house, which was already on fire.
Raynold rushed to their assistance and used a ladder to get them out of danger.
The four bedrooms, flat concrete house which is occupied by seven people, including children, was completely destroyed by the inferno.
Officials from the Central Fire Station said they responded to emergency call at around 10:00 a.m.
But by the time they arrived at the scene, the fire had already spread through most of the building.
