The Saint Lucia Fire Service has confirmed that an ambulance was involved in an accident in Micoud sometime after 1.p.m. Monday (Sep.19).
The ambulance was carrying a patient from Tapion Hospital to St Jude when the accident occurred.
It is unclear whether the patient’s condition was affected by the accident.
The ambulance had four other persons on board: a nurse, a nursing assistance and two fire officers.
It is also unclear whether any of these individuals suffered any injuries.
There is still n o word on whether another vehicle was involved in the accident.
The matter is being investigated by the police.
