A government vehicle might be responsible for a hit and run accident which occurred at La Clery on Monday that involved a 6-year-old-boy.
The child’s mother is now urging the driver to come forward and assist with the child’s medical bills.
Thaddea Larcher who was not home when the incident occurred said she was informed that her son was hit by a vehicle bearing a yellow licence plate around 2.p.m. (Aug.22).
The woman said her son, Davian Larcher, sustained injuries to his face, his side and was unable to eat for sometime. In pleading with the driver, she said, “My son is not an animal, please come forward.”
While she admits that her son is usually on the road with his bicycle, she does not believe that he was “hopping the van,” although persons related to her that he might have done that.
The lad has since been released from hospital and is recuperating at home.
